Seas of Mirth

Nautical rockers Seas Of Mirth have been causing quite the ruckus at shows and festivals across UK and Europe for the last five years or so. A nine-strong crew with a varying sound, their new album “Hark, The Headland Approacheth” is out this summer on Nottingham’s I’m Not From London label. Think folk instrumentation, prog-rock silliness, worldly rhythms and bizarre sea-based song concepts. Seas of Mirth have played Glastonbury Festival, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair, the main stage at Beat Herder Festival, Bearded Theory, Alchemy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe and a barrel-full of other summer shindigs.

“Utterly bizarre… thoroughly entertaining” – The Monograph

“Not your typical sea-shanty inspired band. Their combination of gypsy and punk laced folk will go down a storm at any festival” – Folk Radio UK

“It was okay!” The mayor of Matlock
