We raised £3579.80 at Waterfront ’16! Early bird tickets available for next year!
The bunting has come down, the drum sets are back with their rightful owners and the Canalhouse looks somewhat clean and civilised once again. The Waterfront Festival is over for another year, so it’s time to reflect on last weekend’s raucous festivities!
We are pleased to announce that we raised a substantial £3579.80 for our three chosen charities this year; Brake, The Wolfson Cystic Fibrosis Centre and John Eastwood Hospice. This brings our running total to over £20,000, a milestone we are incredibly proud of!
There are so many individual people to thank that it would make for a very long and boring post, so we’d just like to say a resounding YOU ARE AWESOME to all of the bands, the staff at Canalhouse, the sound engineers, the door staff, the comperes, the stage managers, the videographers and photographers, the merch staff, the runners and everybody who has come down and got rowdy with us throughout the years. WE LOVE YOU, and we couldn’t do it without you.
Special thanks go out to our sponsors, who every year put their hands in their pockets and make it possible for us to make even more cash for charity. Gigantic Tickets, who this year sponsored the downstairs stage, Leftlion magazine who have been with us right from the beginning, and Castle Rock who keep the bands beered up and merry. YOU ARE THE BEST!
If the idea of spending an entire year without Waterfront in your life is a bit too much to bear, you’ll be pleased to hear that we’re holding the festival a bit earlier next year – Saturday 8th July, to be precise. And what’s more, you can buy early bird tickets now for a measly 5 English pounds! You can grab them here.
Thanks guys, and keep an eye on the website, Facebook or Twitter for 2017 updates as they come in!
